The Invisalign System
The Invisalign system is a treatment process in which plastic aligners straighten your teeth through gradual tooth movement. For children, teens, and adults who need orthodontic treatment, Invisalign is a less embarrassing, less stigmatizing treatment option than the wires and brackets of traditional orthodontic treatment.
Invisalign aligners are made of clear, ultra-thin plastic, so they are nearly invisible. They are also much more comfortable than traditional braces and easy to remove and clean. Even better, they require fewer follow-up visits because there is no need to tighten wires.
As with traditional braces, you will need to wear a retainer to maintain your new smile after treatment is complete.

Orthodontic Issues Invisalign Can Treat
Invisalign can successfully treat many dental issues, including:

The Invisalign Treatment Plan
Your dentist will begin your Invisalign treatment by using 3-D imagery to create a digital model of your teeth and jaw. Using this model of your mouth, the Invisalign lab will create a series of aligners that will gradually reposition your teeth. They can even show you a digital image of what your new smile will look like!
Once your Invisalign aligners are ready, you’ll receive the first set. You’ll need to wear them for at least 22 hours every day, only removing them as part of your oral health routine or to eat. About every two weeks, the aligners will need to be replaced with the next set.
Treatment times vary, but you will likely reach your goals in six to 12 months.
